The relatives of teens missing after a deadly fire at a bar in a Swiss ski resort are enduring an agonising wait for answers and requesting clues about their loved ones publicly.

The blaze ripped through the a popular bar in Cans-Montana, located in the mountains of south-west Switzerland, in the middle of the night of the first day of the year. Verified video show the roof structure catching alight as bottles with fireworks are held aloft.

Authorities have warned that it could take an extended period to identify the those who perished of the fire, which resulted in the death of 40 people and hurt another over a hundred.
