The Opening Xbox Game Pass Titles of 2026 Demonstrate Xbox Isn't Giving Up Yet.

Across the gaming landscape, enthusiasts continue to ring the funeral bells for the green team. The platform was lately surpassed in sales by a relatively obscure console. Platform-specific outlets began covering about PlayStation for the first time. 2025 was complete chaos for the tech giant's gaming arm. However, judging purely by what's coming to Game Pass in 2026, it becomes clear that the green gaming company still intends to engage players with strong games on its flagship service.

The Available Now Titles

A pair of titles that are immediately available at this moment, Brews & Bastards and Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition, aren't the showstoppers. Rather, it's what is coming to Game Pass soon that's truly noteworthy.

Upcoming Headline Games

On Jan. 13, Game Pass will add the underrated Star Wars Outlaws, an open-world game that refreshes the standard Ubisoft formula with a cosmic robbery tale. Another big get is Resident Evil Village and its giant Lady Dimitrescu, previously described as "a superb mixture of frights and fights."

Compelling Indie Titles

But even the smaller games arriving shortly on the service deserve recognition. Lost In Random: The Eternal Die, the criminally overlooked roguelike offering thrilling gameplay, drops on Jan. 7th — and you should try it regardless of whether you played the first Lost in Random game.

The British post-apocalyptic game from last year may draw you in within just a quarter of an hour.

Atomfall, the stealth survival game by the developers behind Sniper Elite, is another one to watch. Those with the top-tier subscription also have Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine – Master Crafted Edition to anticipate.

A Robust Selection of Games

All in all, this isn't a revolutionary update to Game Pass, and they are also not first-party juggernauts that justify the service by themselves. But Microsoft's additions here are exceptionally strong. It offers a healthy blend of past releases that passed you by and fairly new titles that didn't get the attention they were due initially — transforming them into perfect candidates to experience a revival on Game Pass.

You might need to brace yourself to say goodbye to The Grinch Christmas Adventures, though.
