FC Barcelona Ready for Inaugural Match at Renovated Camp Nou on Saturday

Barça revealed their first game will take place at the partially upgraded Camp Nou this Saturday. The club will host Athletic Bilbao in La Liga over two years since relocating so building work could begin.

“We envisioned this comeback. The moment has arrived. Home again at Spotify Camp Nou.”

The stadium will not be at full capacity though over 45,000 attendees will be allowed to watch as per the current authorization. When completed, the Camp Nou is due to hold close to 105,000 fans, a rise from the old capacity. Barça announced recent additions comprise a renovated tunnel for players along with upgraded changing facilities.

Recent Activities

Barcelona held a public practice on the home pitch on 7 November. Officials stated approval is being pursued from Uefa to play their next home Champions League game facing Eintracht in December at Camp Nou. They have been hosting matches at Estadio Olímpic Lluís Companys.
