Esteemed Actor Pat Finn, a versatile actor, Famed For Parts in Seinfeld and The Middle, Dies at 60 Years Old.
US entertainer Finn, who appeared in popular television series including Friends, Seinfeld and "The Middle", has succumbed at 60 years old.
The comedic improv actor died at home in Los Angeles recently after undergoing cancer treatment from 2022 onward, as reported by reports.
"Pat considered no one a stranger - solely future friends he hadn't encountered," his loved ones said in a announcement.
They continued that he had "experienced life to the fullest - with happiness and energy".
An Extensive Career on Screen
His debut TV appearance was in the George Wendt Show in 1995, where he portrayed the titular character's brother.
He subsequently landed a regular part on "Murphy Brown" between 1995 and 1997.
He appeared as a party host named Joe Mayo in the show Seinfeld in 1998, portraying a party host known to delegate unpleasant chores to his guests.
Throughout the 90s and 2000s, he made guest appearances on a variety of popular shows, like:
- The King of Queens
- Friends
- That '70s Show
- "House"
Finn was perhaps best known for his portrayal of the character Bill Norwood in The Middle, starring in eight seasons over nearly a decade.
His cinematic roles are "It's Complicated" and Santa Paws 2: The Santa Pups.
Beyond the Screen
Outside of his on-screen roles, Finn was deeply involved in improvisational comedy and served as an educator at the University of Colorado, where he was an adjunct professor.
He was involved with a six-person improv troupe named Beer Shark Mice.
"He taught, supported, and inspired numerous pupils throughout the years and it would be difficult to find someone anyplace who has an unkind word to say about him," his loved ones expressed.
Paying homage, fellow actor Richard Kind noted there was "nobody more kind, gentle, and humorous, authentic human being you could encounter".
"Consistently upbeat, helping you be funnier and better. An excellent dad and person," he posted publicly.
Pat Finn is leaves behind his wife Donna, his children, and his parents and siblings.
